Enable Traps in HP printers using the HP TrapSetup 1.0 program.
To have Traps reported in your account, you need to enable Traps in the HP printers JetDirect Card.

This can also be done using WebJetAdmin when it is many printers.
We have also created a small tool where you easily can set trap destination in a HP printer.

- Start "TrapSetup.exe"
- Type in the IP of the PC/Server where the Data Collector is installed, ex. 192.168.14.63
- Type in the IP of the Printer where you want to enable Traps, ex. 192.168.100.122
- If you click "Show current Trap Destination" then you will see if a Trap Destination is set.
- To set Trap Destination you click "Set Trap Destination".
- Then click "Show current Trap Destination" to see the that Trap Destination is set ex. IP:192.168.14.63 - Port no: 162 - SNMP Community Name: public
Now Traps will be reported to your account.
