How to push Trigger and Bulk thresholds from Master Supply Alerts

When setting up a Supply Alert to be a Master, initally the customers under the master report will have the basic standard settings, thresholds and columns, as a default Supply Alert. The reason behind this method is to ensure a master report could be mass created and distributed, then customized differently at each account.

There is a workaround currently to ensure the customers under the master can have the same threshold settings as the Master report, but not without consequences.

Following the steps below will cause a few issues to occur, EuroForm will not be held liable for problems related. Proceed at your own risk.

  • You will loose all historical Supply Alert history
  • You will loose all report result history
  • Any currently Low supplies will be sent again even if previously sent, the report thinks it is a new report with no history

Steps:
To make sure that the customers have the same threshold, trigger and bulk, settings as the master report folow these steps. Assuming you have created a master already and saved customers to it

  • Unselect the customers saved to the Master report
  • Save the settings
  • Reassign the desired customers
  • Save the master settings
After these steps are followed then the Master Report threshold settings will be applied to the customer accounts. If this process is done immediately after creating the Supply Alert, then it is easier to catch the duplicated supply alerts for low toner
