What are Alerts?

The term "Alerts" is severe events brought to your attention and covers a range of event types with different event severity from many event sources and applies across following categories:

  • Account alerts (incl. connector alerts)
  • Device alerts
  • Supply alerts

Event types (examples)

  • Connector offline
  • Device offline
  • Supply low/empty
  • Device hardware alerts
  • Device preventive maintenance
  • Supply expired
  • etc.


Event sources

These different event types can come from many sources, meaning the information can come not only directly from the device, but it can also be be computed in the cloud or come from connected 3rd party services. Below are a few event source examples:

  • JetAdvice events
  • Hardware events
  • HP SDS events
  • HP LFP events
  • etc.

Alerts viewed in JetAdvice can vary from Dealer to Customer scopes. When an alert is present, the will be a link to the specific concern, whether it be related to a Connector, Device or Supply. It will take you to the most relevant information to display the concern.

  • Dealers will be able to see the alerts from all of their customers in their various view options or choose specific customers in alert reports for example.
  • When subscribed to receive alerts via email, a dealer will be able to get ALL various alerts from all of the customers; in a report, or by each individual alert from the Dashboard alerts.

  • Customers will only be able to see their alerts for their own account.
    When subscribed to receive alerts via email, a customer will be able to get their own various alerts; in a report, or by each individual alert from their Dashboard alerts.
