How to get only specific printers collected?

To get only specific printers collected you can define specific IP addresses in the data collector.

To add a specific IP to the data collector use an + sign after the IP address.

Example:

192.168.1.1+ 

192.168.1.43+

192.168.1.124+

192.168.1.200-210

Now only IP 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.43, 192.168.1.124 and the IPs from 192.168.1.200 to 192.168.1.210 will be collected.

 

A disadvantage using only specific IP address would be if the customer changes the IP addresses of the printers because then they will not be discovered and collected as only specific IP addresses is defined and not full network ranges..
