How do supply alerts work?

Supply Alert schedules are set to run one time each day at a specified time (e.g. 09:00-10:00) then it will register all low supply alerts and then they will be sent the following day between 09:00-10:00.

Low supplies are defined by the percentage left in the consumable read from the device's OID values.

Important Information:

  • The supply alert will only be sent one time for each supply.
  • A Supply Alert is only sent once per device, per report.
    - Even if the Alert threshold is modified in an active report - if a supply alerted it will not alert again until replaced.
  • If the supply alert has been sent, because it met a trigger threshold once, it will not send a 2nd report even if the trigger thresholds were lowered and met again in the same report.
  • If the supply threshold is set to 10% the supply will first be registered as a supply alert when it is 10% or lower.

If supply alerts are not received in time before it is empty we recommend increasing the threshold value for the supplies.
